Ancestry.com is one of the greatest sites on the web when it comes to searching your family tree. It seems that others agree as the genealogical site recently won Five National Silver ADDY Awards.
Ancestry.com, is the world’s largest online family history resource and recently added Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files, 1800-1900. It has won five National Silver ADDY Awards for the five TV commercials in its My Story campaign. Each 60-second commercial tells the story of an American who made an amazing family history discovery on Ancestry.com.
The ADDY Awards are the world’s largest advertising competition, and are conducted by the American Advertising Federation, a not-for-profit industry organization. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world.
Ancestry.com created these adverts themselves which makes the awards all the more remarkable. Each of the Adds fromthe “My Story Campaign” tell a mini story of how some one found out some marvelous history or insight by using the Ancestry web site. With these touching stories it seems to have reached the heart of the nation.
